Three Queens: Update!

I've been writing this damn thing for 5 years.
When I started Three Queens, I knew it would be the most complex book I’d ever written. It’s the third volume in The Wars of Meridian, and by this point, my story is following hundreds of threads twisting through gods, mortals, and monsters. The challenge isnn’t just to continue the story. It was to bring each voice and heartbeat toward a shared reckoning without losing the quiet humanity that began it all.
Writing across multiple points of view—Autumn trudging through the Mourning Mountains, Jasper wrestling with his divinity among the rangers, Senan chasing freedom through the temple halls, and Mira holding the front lines of a war she never asked for—has been a careful exercise. Each chapter has to reflect very different kinds of strength, grief, and transformation. What one character learns in solitude, another must unlearn in the chaos of battle. I am tired. Sometimes I get lost in it all.
But what I’ve come to realize that writing a book like this isn’t about control—it’s about surrender. Sometimes I forget that my story is no longer a tributary, but a river. It has a will of its own. Every time I thought I understood where the story was going, a character would make a choice I hadn’t planned, and the entire world would tilt to make room for it.
There’s a strange beauty in that surrender. The plot arcs of Three Queens are converging toward an ending I’ve imagined for years, but it’s the journey through these shifting perspectives that’s teaching me what the finale really means. The threads are tightening. The gods are stirring. And for the first time, I feel the full weight of the storm on the horizon.
For now, I’ll leave it at that.

SO exciting. Can’t wait to see what happens.
